Now, as promised, here are the steps to build your AI Job Search Agent.

Step 1

Go to developer.adzuna.com and create a free developer account.

From your dashboard, copy your:

• Application ID

• Application Key

These allow your app to search live job listings.

Step 2

Go to console.anthropic.com and create an API key.

This API connection is the brain of your AI agent. It powers all the AI.

Step 3

Create a free Vercel account.

Step 4

Inside your Vercel project, open Settings → Environment Variables and add:

• ADZUNA_APP_ID

• ADZUNA_APP_KEY

• ANTHROPIC_API_KEY

Step 5

Open Claude Code and paste in this prompt:

Build an autonomous AI job search agent as a Next.js app on Vercel.

The application should allow a user to upload a résumé (PDF or TXT).

Using the Anthropic API, extract the candidate's skills, education, certifications, work history, and experience.

Use the Adzuna Jobs API to retrieve live job listings that match the candidate's background.

Score every opportunity from 0–100 based on the candidate's qualifications.

If fewer than five strong matches are found, automatically refine the search criteria and search again.

Display the strongest job matches in a clean, modern interface.

For every selected job:

• Rewrite the résumé specifically for that position.
• Generate a personalized cover letter.
• Never invent qualifications that don't exist.

Use a clean white interface with modern typography.

Store the following environment variables:

ADZUNA_APP_ID
ADZUNA_APP_KEY
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY

Deploy the completed application to Vercel and return the live URL.

Step 6

Deploy the application.

When Claude finishes, it will return your live Vercel URL.

Click the link...

Upload your résumé...

And your AI agent will search live jobs, score the strongest opportunities, rewrite your résumé for each position, and generate a personalized cover letter.
